THE LOST CITY is a fun piece to play and easy to learn. Its contrasting sections capture your attention until the strong ending. The Lost City is an early Level 3 piece built on a rhythmic phrase played mostly by the Cello [which also has the melody]. Ideal piece for showcasing your ensembles abilities with a more complex work that sounds impressive.

PERFORMANCE NOTES:
In the contrasting middle section, the tempo should relax a little and all sections should aim for a strong legato tone. The Double bass part is not as difficult as the other sections. The Cello plays the rhythmic motif until bar 42 and from here on takes up the melody.
